In early April, Bitdefender published a report that found vulnerabilities in the LG WebOS TV operating system.
The report said that more than 90,000 LG devices that ran the WebOS versions 4 through 7 were exposed to the risk that criminals could gain root access to the TV by bypassing the authorization process. One of the vulnerabilities would have enabled an attacker to take over the device fully.
An article in HackRead said that LG released a patch in March to fix the problems, and says that ‘LG TV owners should update their TVs to the latest software version as soon as possible.’
