Delta Air Lines sued CrowdStrike last week, claiming that the CrowdStrike update in July had caused 7,000 flight cancellations and cost it more than $500m.
CrowdStrike has counter-sued, pointing blame at Delta’s own response for the airline’s challenges in getting back up and running.
The news is the latest in the CrowdStrike saga, and we have expressed our concerns previously about the potential consequence of additional federal regulations coming down as a result of the problem. Indeed, the U.S. Department of Transportation opened an investigation into Delta’s response in the aftermath of the event in July.
